“Heady mix of art and activism”: Open Eye Gallery reviewed in the Financial Times
November 22nd, 2011 by Russell Curtis
The Financial Times has given a glowing review to the Open Eye Gallery in Liverpool, designed by RCKa.
The inaugural shows, by Magnum photographer Chris Steele-Perkins (“The Pleasure Principle”), and American photographer Mitch Epstein (“American Power”), are well-received, and the FT applauds our design for the gallery spaces:
“London-based architects RCKa have exploited the awkward proportions to gracious effect. The result – clean but intimate, discreet yet dynamic – is ideally suited to the blend of grandeur and detail of much contemporary photography.”
There’s more on the Open Eye Gallery on our website.
