YAYA Shortlist Talks

Last night Dieter and I presented our approach and ideas plus a couple of projects at the Architecture Foundation. It was great to be part of such an informal presentation and discussions and some interesting issues were raised. These included the diverse nature of approaches and the influence of our architectural education but the main issue was regarding the procurement of design talent.  From the discussions it appears that young architects are finding it more difficult in winning commissions for projects of scale due to the often inappropriate procurement routes which have become so popular in the UK.

We look forward to the findings of the RIBA’s Procurement Reform Group which we are proud to be a part of.
