Western Wall takes shape at Open Eye Gallery
July 1st, 2011 by Tim RileyWorks on the new home for Liverpool’s prestigious Open Eye Gallery are progressing well, and our contractor W Braithwaite & Sons have recently completed the first stage of the dramatic Western Wall. This is soon to be clad in a monolithic white finish which will provide a canvas for installations by selected artists and photographers.
The majority of the partitions and ceilings are now installed, and the qualities of the internal spaces are beginning to emerge. The three galleries (two at ground floor level, with a third in the mezzanine) provide a range of spaces for the display of both permanent and temporary exhibitions.
