Proposals for Widehorizons Landscape Canopy

We’ve been working with Widehorizons Outdoor Educational Trust on proposals for a new outdoor learning facility at their Environmental Curriculum Service site in Eltham, south-east London. Replacing two derelict glasshouses, our scheme provides two new biodomes – one tropical and one arid – providing an exciting environment for young people to learn about the natural environment.

In addition to the new biodomes, the new installation will provide a range of covered spaces where outdoor activities can take place under shelter. The organic form of the roof, which rises and falls with the topography of the site, weaves in and out of the trees, extending out into the landscape beyond.

We’re currently working with Widehorizons to obtain funding for this exciting new facility.
